How to get a marriage license in Wilmington, North Carolina
- Fill out a Marriage License Form
- Get an Appointment at Register of Deeds office in New Hanover in Downtown Wilmington.
- Bring a Valid Photo ID, Driver's License or Passport
- Bring $60 cash, check, or card for your Marriage License (wait 24 Hours to pick up your License)
- Bring proof of Social Security(card, paystub, or tax form)

When are the best times to elope in Wilmington?
You can elope anytime on the beach but knowing when the high season could be very helpful.
Wilmington's busiest seasons start between the end of May and the beginning of August. It usually dies down in September where the beach becomes very empty.
Where can we elope?
Wrightsville Beach Access 2. This is the least busiest area on the beach, solely because of the limited parking spaces and quick turn around.
