Let me post some photos first. Then go ahead and tell you what I think of it. There were no presets applied, all photos were taken without lens correction. Just some light editing.

Thoughts on Megadap Pro


Megadap pro is not cheap, its about $250 when i purchased it last year. Why? because nikon came out with a ZF and I suddenly want to adapt lenses to it. But I didn't own any Sony E mounts. But knowing that I'm definitely going to keep this ZF for a long time, it was definitely worth the purchase.


This is not the Megadap Pro plus version. But the lens worked charmingly.

Thoughts on the Sigma 35mm 1.2 II lens


I honestly didn't spend enough time on this lens yet. I've only tested it today to see how well the adapter preformed. I am a wedding photographer and I actually have a beach wedding this Saturday that I'm very excited about.


I also haven't updated the firmware yet and I may keep it that way for the time being.

Autofocus


This Nikon ZF and Sigma 35mm 1.2 II lens with the Megadap Pro adapter worked out perfectly! It felt like a native lens. However, I'm not sure how well it would perform on an actual Sony Camera. I am eyeing on Sony A1 or A9 though.


The fastest autofocus lens I own on the Nikon ZF is the Nikon Z 28mm 2.8. I can photograph a reception with about 98% accuracy.

Sharpness

The lens is sharp. 8.5/10 sharpness wide open. I've taken off 1.5 points because I know that the sharpest lens with a 10/10 points, I've ever owned was the GF50mm 3.5. That is probably sharper than any Carl Zeiss lenses, Leica, Hassy, etc.

Anyways..

Getting the Sigma 35mm F1.2 II lens was definitely a no-brainer. I needed to use the Megadap. This is a perfect combo. lightweight (not as light as my Voigtlander 35mm 1.2 Version II). I will be updating for more photos in the future.
