Glad You're Here!
This photo collection showcases Shelbi and Shane's Engagement Session in Downtown Wilmington.
The couple wanted a look that was edgy, vintage, and editorial, which resonated well with me.
Shelbi brought along her sunglasses with their wedding date written on it.
We kicked off the session at St. James Episcopal Church, capturing shots of the couple with the sunglasses. Like most people, they weren't accustomed to being in front of the camera. However, I simplified the process for them by referring to our moodboard or inspiration.
This helped them relax into the session.
One of the initial poses we tried was thumb war.
I allowed them to play around for a bit until one of them laughed. Immediately, my camera started clicking, capturing their love at St. James Episcopal Church.
If you're a couple who enjoys candid photos but isn't sure what to do, simply engage in thumb war and let the photographer experiment with composition.
