How to get a Milwaukee County Marriage License


First, you’ll need to schedule an appointment at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.

Complete a marriage form.

Provide a valid photo ID, driver’s license, or passport, and proof of Social Security.

Both you and your partner must apply in person at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.

$110 fee (cash or card).


Notes:


• You both must be at least 18 years old. If either of you is 16 or 17, you’ll need parental consent.

• If you plan to wed in Wisconsin, you can get a marriage license from any county in the state.

• The courthouse does NOT perform ceremonies. You’ll need an officiant for that.
