Hey guys! I'm thrilled to have you here! If you're an engaged couple based in anywhere in the US or anywhere in the world and are not sure how to Elope or get married in Lake Como, here's the step-by-step way to tying the knot.

1. Get an appointment with any US Embassy for a Certificate of Non-Impediment(also known as Nulla Osta.) Here's a list of US Embassies in the US.
2. Go to Lake Como, Italy with your partner.
3. Get an appointment at the one of the Town Halls in Lake Como(Comune) for your the Declaration to Marry(Dichiarazione Guirata). Some Comune accommodate walk-in Visitors
4. While at the Comune, get an appointment with a registrar(Ufficiale di Stato Civile) to get you married. It's an equivalent to an officiant in the US.
5. Bring your Nulla Osta, Passports, Birth Certificates(original or certified copy), Declaration of Intent to Marry, and 2 Witnesses to your wedding.
6. Get married at one of the locations you choose.
7. Submit your Dichiarazione Giurata back at the Comune, get your Marriage Certificate(Estratto Dell'atto di matrimonio).
8. Get your Marriage Certificate translated and legalized by Apostille.
9. Fly back to the US to the Register of Deeds of your county and submit your Marriage Certificate.
10. Congrats you're married!
