Photo Itinerary
Keirsten had inquired about a graduation session which included her son and fiancee. She had sent me some inspirations from her phone which included a girl with a Mexican flag(her heritage) flying behind her as she walks towards the UNCW Cultural Arts building. Another photo of a close up of her grad hat with customized scarf that said Class of 2023.
I could tell how much her nationality means so much to her. So I suggested going for that package that included professional lighting for 60 minutes. This is enough time to take photos that she really wants or her (must haves.)
I also suggest doing the shoot at UNCW as they have a ton of school-esque facades.
How we did it
We've done several takes of her walking towards the UNCW Cultural Arts Building. Walking back and forth between me and the building. Thankfully theres a bit of wind so that the flag flies but the down side is that it flew too well that we had to keep trying until we got it. Then finally, the perfect one.
Why I used Flash
I brought an external flash with me because the photos needed a bit of help. I figured that natural lighting might flatten her face and cause her to add a little more to areas that doesn't needed it. Plus flash can help shape her face a little more than natural lighting.
