How to Get Married in Tampa, Florida

Here’s your checklist:

  1. Complete the Marriage License Application or print and bring it to the office.
  2. Bring valid Photo ID(Driver’s License, Passport, State ID, or Military ID.)
  3. Visit the Clerk’s Office Head to any of the three locations in Tampa to finalize your application in person.
  4. Pay the Marriage License Fee $86.00 (or $61.00 with proof of a premarital course).
  5. Hire an officiant to officiate your wedding or schedule an appointment to be married at your county clerk’s office.
  6. Attend Your Ceremony
  7. The officiant returns the completed license to the Clerk’s Office within 10 days.

Hours: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

REQUIREMENTS:

Application Form: Complete online or print and bring it with you.

Valid ID: Bring a driver’s license, passport, state ID, or military ID.

Fee: $86.00 or $61.00 with a premarital course certificate.

Both Parties Must Apply Together: In person.

Notes:

• If you’re 17, you’ll need parental consent, and the older party must be no more than 2 years older.

• Read and acknowledge the Marriage Handbook (available in English and Spanish).

• No 3-day waiting period for non-Florida residents.
