Danielle and Channing were a treat to photograph; they hired me for their wedding in mid-2022, that I curated a beautiful gallery that reflects their unique style. I've uploaded a contact sheet for reference!
Fort Fisher
A quick disclaimer: I'm not a historical expert on this place, not that you're hiring because of it. I'm also writing this from experience, from scouting around and photographing a few of my client's weddings. My friends and I would come down once in a while to check out the flying kites and hang out at the rocks.
The Elopement
Danielle and Channing decided to elope at Fort Fisher with their friends. Native to Wilmington, it was a clear and easy choice that they would rent a beach house and invite their friends. Danielle is an avid climber, while Channing is a motorcycle enthusiast.
It was a simple yet elegant way to spend your wedding at Fort Fisher. If you're looking to elope at Fort Fisher, don't hesitate to contact me here!

What Should I Wear for Engagement Photos at Fort Fisher?

Women's wear for engagement session
I would suggest wearing something long and flow-y, its usually safe bet. Pastel colors always feel luxurious. I'd keep patterns to minimum. When were doing our sessions, were looking for comfortability. You might want to jump on their back or run towards the ocean. Since dresses aren't restricting clothing, they're best for any location you'll want your engagement sessions in. They all go well with Men's + Unisex Wear.
Shoes
Since were going to be in the sand, I encourage wearing flats. Wearing high heels only for when were at the shore. But I wouldn't recommend it. Boots are surprisingly great in mobility which is why I included it on the screenshot.
Accessories
Watches, pair of earrings, sunglasses, necklace, belt are all optional.
Winter Clothes
Can wear a jacket over the dress

Men's + Unisex Wear for Engagement Session
These items are very straightforward. I screenshot all of these from Amazon.com. My choice of pants are either black or blue dress pants with a white, light blue or pink long sleeved top.
Black or Brown belt, black or blue loafers which you can also purchase from any Belk in Wrightsville. I prefer the one Oleander.
Accessories
You can wear these watches, blue or black, nothing distracting.
Sunglasses can try on at a mall nearby, or these I've screenshot on Amazon. I wouldn't mind a hat either as its a perfect beach vibe.
Suspenders are optional
Winter
Wear a blazer or coat
