Engagement Session at Provo, UT
Taking photographs in city-scapes can be very challenging. They provide concrete walls that bounce almost the perfect amount of light to produce a pastel style. If you’re not careful, it can get very distracting. But the goal here was to point out that you can get beautiful photos in an ordinary space.
First, I find the space where the edges of the walls that create an angle. Then I place my subjects, in the shadows, on the light, then properly expose on them. Sometimes I use a technique called Exposing to the Left.
