Tipping your vendors can be an expense itself as were talking about $100-$500 even $1000. I've had a high profile client in Las Vegas who tipped me $1000 for my time and it was definitely a win!

Anytime I get a tip, it puts me in a good mood, I'd immediately copy my photos to my hard drive, and get my editing process started.

IMHO, tipping is optional but highly appreciated :)

"My wedding photographer Charges $6000 then asks for a tip on top"

I agree, this is just insane on their part.

Even some of the top photographers I know do not do this.

There might've been a ton of wedding vendors in that group.

Yes, we set our own prices of based on cost of doing business, then our living expenses, then how much we want to get paid.

Tipping has always been a way to incentivize the jobs so that they'll pay much closer attention to you.

Fun Fact: People used to Tip ahead so that they'll do a better job!

Tipping in dollar ranges makes a lot more sense. What is 20% of $6000? $1200? Not bad actually!

I think, I would be inclined to tip my tailor if he did all of that work to measure my body. I feel like this would be an required he did a good job.

We tipped our photographer and videographer $200 each, but they were both below market rate to begin with and they did great...I think I'd feel very differently for [Tipping] a $6000 photographer than I did our $2500.

Interesting, would you feel very differently if you tipped a $6000 photographer vs a $2500?

"We got an angry text from our photographer asking why we would ever tip the assistant but not her."

What in the world?! Why is this happening.

Thank you for all of the tippers out there. Please tip the bartenders and waitresses as they probably get paid by the hourly.
