Mismatched bridesmaids dresses

I want to do mismatched bridesmaids dresses for my wedding. Mostly because I just don’t think it’s that important and I would rather them pick their own/a style they’re comfortable in.



Honest opinions on the color scheme please! I photoshopped a bunch of dresses together in Canva lol

If it’s ugly I’ll just have them get all black. Thank you!

I like the shades of coral/magenta with the pale yellow. I'm on the fence about the nude. When I was looking, I also considered floral patterns in my colors, so that may be something to consider for a few of them.

I would stick to the pink, coral and yellow and scrap the nude and cream as it doesn't feel part of the same colour scheme.

It reminds me of pez candy but in the best way I love it. What I’ve learned from being in wedding parties with matching and mixed dresses is that it is always obvious who the bridesmaids are.

I think it looks great. I’m not sure about the champagne-y color to the left of the bride though. I think it would depend on the exact shades whether that would work.

I did it was so happy I did!! Everyone looked and felt amazing.


I ended up helping choose all of them to make sure it was cohesive with my vision but no one minded at all and we all just looked so good. Highly recommend.

I also want a mix of floral and solid dresses with 2-3 colors and this all comes together so nicely!

Thank you!! Not Pinterest, I had a mood board in canva that I kept updated but honestly I didn't do a lot of comparison with the rest of the dresses while we choosing.


Truthfully, I found most of the dresses and just kept sending my bridesmaids options until we agreed on one. While I was looking at various websites I would look at a dress and think "oh that would look good on Kaitlin" and send it to her and then see one for another girl and send it to them.


And no, the first was picked a month after I was engaged (17 month engagement) and the last one was like 2 weeks before the wedding 🫣 Dresses were from Reformation, MacDuggal, BHLDN, and show me your mumu

Agree with most other comments - it looks fantastic except for maybe the nude/champagne. The other colors are so springy and delightful! But, it might depend on the exact dress chosen - maybe more of a light pink would complement the others better? LOVE the mix and match though.


Could add prints in these shades too. This is very popular right now and I think much better vibes than black if you go with these kinds of florals.

I think if you add in patterned you need ~2 people with patterned so it is more evenly distributed / cohesive

I think the patterned one stands out too much from the rest. Why not keep it with just the first three colors from the left, they are all lovely and look very good together.

if you take the brighter pinks out (furthest on the left & the girl right next to the bride) i think the nudes and yellows look better.



but also the dress furthest to the right is too bright/close to white for my liking

I like the colors but the mismatched lengths really throw me off. Perhaps all long or all midi will help it seem less chaotic?

I think the colors mostly go well together except for the nude one. The undertone in that one doesn't seem to quite coordinate with the others. Maybe a light peach could replace it.



Overall it's kind of a busy look, but very pretty especially if it's for late spring or summer.

I love the look of this!


These are colors that are really hard to wear if they aren’t their shade. That shade of yellow makes me look I have jaundice and others are completely washed out in black.



Ask all your friends in your wedding what colors look best on them and have them send you the actual color of those shades. All their colors were stunning with each other and it turned out perfect!

I mean the example you showed looks cute but if you’re actually letting them just pick out any dress they want with this as inspiration instead of assigning different people each different specific colors, there’s a good chance they’re not going to look anything like this. I also personally would find having to pick something based on inspiration way more stressful than just being given a color and list of approved styles from somewhere like Azazie.
